JOYTALK is now accepting applications for energetic and enthusiastic native English speakers to work as ALTs in Japanese public junior high schools and elementary schools in the Kanto and Tohoku regions of eastern Japan.
Applicants should be native speakers of English, have a university degree, be able to communicate in Japanese at a conversational level, enjoy working with children, have an interest in Japanese language and culture and be a team player. A driver's license valid for use in Japan would be beneficial but not essential. Applicants would also be highly regarded if they hold education qualifications or teaching certificates and /or have previous teaching experience although these are not mandatory requirements.
Joytalk has been recruiting foreign staff for 35 years. We pride ourselves on providing quality and personal assistance to our foreign language staff. We provide visa sponsorship, paid holidays, discounted car rental, rental accommodation, reimbursement for work transportation costs and 24 hour support and assistance where needed. We also provide on-going teacher training with workshops held a number of times throughout the year including before the start of the teaching assignment.
The positions are Monday to Friday with work hours falling somewhere between 8am and 5pm daily depending on the location.
The salary may vary depending on the specific conditions of each contract and will range between 200,000 and 250,000 yen per month.
We support our teachers not only in teaching, but in all aspects of life in Japan. We will assist you prior to your arrival, we will be there to help you setup once you arrive and help with any problems, negotiations, accidents, emergencies, etc, throughout your stay.

Part-time Business Class Teacher : July 2018
JOYTALK is now accepting applications for a native English speaking teacher to teach business classes on-site part-time, starting July 2018.
Applicants should be native speakers of English, have a university degree, have a valid visa for working in Japan and be living in or close by central Tochigi. Applicants would also be highly regarded if they hold education qualifications, have previous teaching experience or have conversational level Japanese skills.
The positions are part-time, on Tuesdays and Thursdays with working hours from 1:30pm to 4:40pm. The remuneration will be as follows: Each day worked with this scheduling will be paid at 7500 yen with transportation reimbursement added on top.
